Hello world!

I remember when I was a child, my mother put on a weekly Sunday dinner, or more like a feast, far more suited to royalty.  The whole table was filled from end to end with cakes, scones, jam & cream. We would sit around the table our eyes wide at the extraordinary fare, the compliments to her as lavish as the food she had provided.

Unable to show affection or express love, this was her substitute and in time it also became mine.  Food filled the void of a young girl yearning for a mother’s love and the feeling of connection.  This in turn grew into a lifelong journey battling food, self-worth, body-image and consequently love in all it’s forms.

There are many of us who have travelled this exhausting path and I would say due to the current trend of body perfection, there will be many more to come.

I hope as I share my journey and give the opportunity for others to share theirs that we are all inspired to love and take care of our beautiful bodies, no matter what their shape or size.

The truth is we can turn it around and feel beautiful, connected……… and wisely nourished
